Point System Attendance Policy

We are doing union negotiations right now. The union has agreed to consider implementing a "point system" attendance policy. We would like to see samples of other companies policies that use the "Point System" attendance Methods. If anyone has a policy on this that they are willing to share with me I would appreciate it. We have a point system which I hate. But the union hates it more. I understand that when it was initially written, there was consultation with an ee committee, but the policy is the company's. We have constantly refused to make the system a part of the contract (I don't want to negotiate the terms every time a contract is up). We have many work rules that are not part of the contract.
