minorities and females in the workplace

Does anyone know if EEO-1 reports are public information? And if so, how can one obtain a copy from another company?
We are required to complete a yearly Affirmative Action Plan and my supervisor would like to know how our percentages of minorities and females in the workplace compare to other manufacturing companies in our area (or any other area).
Since we do not report the information from our AAP (we do submit the yearly EEO-1) to anyone I would assume others don't either, therefore no information would be available--unless there is a source I am not familiar with.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
