What are employee benefits are worth?

Sometimes we feel that our employees don't fully appreciate the amount of money we spend on employee benefits. So employees will know what it cost for their benefits package, we want to give our employees this year a Total Compensation statement of what their benefits are worth. Has anyone else out there done anything similar or do you know where I might be able to find an article/email related to this.

When we switched to PeopleSoft earlier this year for payroll...we began including a detailed summary of employer paid benefits. This has helped EE's (and me) realize that although we are underpaid, the benefits more than make up for the $$$$. We'd spend far more than this if we had to find our own health insurance, dental, life insurance. It also details the amount contributed to our retirement.

It's something to consider....
