WARN ACT

Aside from the federal law, does NY have its own state WARN law?

    You can find that by calling your state labor office, employment security division or unemployment insurance office. I haven't been able to find it on the web. good luck.

    NY follows the federal WARN Act with no additional state requirements. But, NY has a program called Worker Adjustment Act (WAA), that includes a rapid response providing services such as emergency readjustment services, labor-management committees, and disseminating ee assistance information. Participating in WAA is strictly voluntary and not directly tied in with WARN.
