Lung Transplant

Just an update - from my earlier post on the increase in insurance. I know a couple of you also had participants on organ waiting lists. Our Participant had his transplant a week ago - double lung. I pay claims weekly - so I am guessing this was prep as part of his initial approval, we had an increase from about $10K to $29K in one week. This was before the transplant. Luckly he has already hit stop loss so we will be reimbursed - but I don't think they will be writing checks too quickly. We got an estimate of $120K for one lung - I can only hope they threw the second one in for free. I also don't mean to sound morbid -I am happy for him. Maybe he won't start smoking again.
