Vulgar Incoming E-Mail Subjects

LAST EDITED ON 09-18-03 AT 11:52AM (CST)[p]No matter how advanced we get with out SPAM software, we are beginning to see an increase in the number of e-mails coming in with vulgar subject lines. We realize that we are not going to be able to protect our employees completely from the world we live in, but would like to know how other companies are handling these issues. We are working to be sure that we catch as much of the bad stuff as possible through filters, and blocking, but there just isn't a way to eliminate every "offer" of amazing products to improve...you get the idea.

Our current plan is to work to communicate with our staff:

First, that we are doing what we can and will continue to work to do that.

Second, how to use the tools available to block this material when it does slip through the overall system.

Third, that this is something we are just going to have to work to minimize and try to ignore beyond that.

I'm guessing that we aren't alone in facing this problem, and hope that some of you out there might have a few words of wisdom to share on how to handle this well for our organization.
