HR Liability Coverage?

Does anyone carry a liability policy to protect against being sued personally by an employee? I know I am covered under the company's Directors & Managers Liability Policy, but I asked the question of our company's insurance guru, and he said such a policy does not exist. Please advise. Thanks

A lot of different carriers sell EPLI coverage - with varying levels of coverage. Also, your home owners insurance (if you have it) may cover you as well. Hope it helps.

We state in our offer letter that any legal cost incurred by the ee as a result of working for our company and following company policies would be paid for by us. There is no formal policy only the offer letter statement.

We, also, have employee liability coverage. One of the side pluses is that we have an issue, we can call the insurance company's attorneys for advice. I believe we allowed 60 minutes of phone time per year for free.

Our Directors & Officers coverage includes an EPLI policy. We just found out that we also have a hotline available, 24/7 with no limit. I made use of it for the first time on Tuesday and had a call back from an attorney within my state with a few hours. I plan to use this service alot!
