Pagers 24/7

Supervisors have to have their pager on them 24/7. If they are going out of town, (even just to shop) they must call their manager to let them know. They must do this even when they are not on their scheduled on call weekend. Have our managers gone overboard? These supervisors are classified exempt. Are their any FLSA laws that require any form of payment for these supervisors?
