If any of you are familiar with Washingtin state law; have you heard of a House Bill being signed by Gov. Locke that now makes seasonal employees no longer eligible for unemployment benifits if they are put in layoff status? We have 400+ seasonal employees that will be directly impacted if this is truly the case. I'm in dire need of any information you can provide. Thanks, folks.

The quickest answer can be gotten by calling your local unemployment claims office or if they are not able to respond, call your legislator and ask for the bill's status. Let us know. That's interesting.
