Benefits for Summer Interns

Can paid summer interns be excluded from the company's medical & dental plans? Currently our insurance is available for any employee who works over 25 hours per week. This intern will work 40 hours per week for approximately 3 months.

Just make it policy that interns are not eligible for insurance benefits.

We call our interns and coop students temporary employees. Temporary employees are not elligible for benefits. Simple.

I am with everyone else on this one. We do not offer benefits to our interns either.
