Actually, this is a success story, not a question. But, since this is the most popular conference, I'm posting here.
Last week one of our employees complained that his check was not direct deposited. Apparently, the bank "lost it". So, we wrote him a manual check for the correct amount. Today, he went to the bank and found his balance much higher than anticipated and discovered the bank found his money and deposited it to his account today. He returned the manual check to me a few minutes ago saying it wasn't his and he had to do give it back. Many people would try to get away with cashing it and keeping both.
Apparently, honesty is still alive.
