DOL Compliance Issues

Being new to the HR position, I have been researching policies in our non profit agency in the state of New Hampshire. The DOL requests employers to file permission to pay employees on a Bi-weekly basis. In our state, the DOL doesn't have our organization listed as having ever applied for or ever being given permission to pay other than weekly. This request is to be updated on a five year basis. I was wondering if anyone knows of compliance issues or fines that we may be facing if we notify the DOL of this request now for not filing in the past?
