Incentive Plans

I will be moving to a medical facility soon, and one of my first projects is to develop an incentive plan for absenteism. I have seen one that was based on a monthly % bonus added to pay. Has anyone else got any other ideas for this? I would appreciate some input. Thanks so much for your help.

    Some plans that I've seen grant additional PTO (How's that, reward employees with time off for not taking time off??), or, if you have a sick leave plan, some payout of sick leave for regular attendance. I've always been opposed to incentive plans for employees to do what they were hired to do (show up for work on a regular basis). In addition, you need to keep in mind the potential problems that you'll encounter with FMLA.
