Required tools for work

If our company requires certain employees to provide their own tools and steel-toed workboots, are we required to put this information on the employment application? If so, should we have a separate application for this particular job classification?

Don't believe so. However, I used to include such information in my recruitment advertising and cover it in the interview so the applicant knew precisely what was expected of him/her if they were hired.

We require both but do not cover that on an employment application. If they reach the interview stage, the tool and safety shoe/glasses policies are discussed. Applications can only hold so much information.
