Diversity recruiting

We are trying to come up with some new ways to do diversity recruiting. We have a very nice balance now, but we want to keep it that way. It seems companies who are diverse are also more productive. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • You can post your openings internally as well as in the newspapers and list all your openings with the Employment Commission, colleges, community colleges, and organizations such as Catholic Charities, Veteran's organizations, Minority Business League and religious organizations. Obviously, the more people you open the process up to, the more diverse your applicant pool will become. Don't fall, however, for the groups who promise to publish your company name in a fat book of equal opportunity employers for a fee.
