Employee Personnel Files

Location of question originated in the State of Kansas.

Let me restate the question...does your company allow employees to review their personnel files?

I am in MN, so we are required by law to allow current employees to view their files once every six months if we receive a written request, and we must provide a terminated employee with a copy of their file if a written request is received within one year of their termination date. To find out what Kansas may require, check with the state Department of Labor.
