Employment Verification Requests

Is there anything saying we have to file Employment Verification Requests separate from the employee's personnel file? Thanks for your help.

I think it's part of the general file to see and know that employment verification requests have come in on employees. Not only is this NOT a privacy issue - their supervisor should be advised if his people are having verification requests from other employers. Congress hasn't thought to tinker with this one yet.
