IL Law Question...

Isn't there a state or federal law written about the number of days an EE can work straight without having a day off? I know I read something but just can't remember. We have a new employee (3 wks) that has volunteered to work every Sunday for the past two weeks. He also usually works the Saturday shift as well leaving him without an entire day off for the "day of rest" thing. Granted some of these Sundays, the EE may have worked only 4 hrs or so. Anyway, I have advised the EE's supervisor to schedule a day off for this guy until I can get to the bottom of this one. Thanks for any advice! x:D
