Non-compete contracts, Kentucky/International

Can anyone advise what Kentucky law states with regards to a signed non-compete contract for a Sales Manager employee. The contract was signed 5 years ago when the employee was working in California. 3.5 years ago, this employee transfered to England as an International sales manager. Now the employee has left the company and is living in the Netherlands. Can he/she work with a competitor in the Netherlands? The non-compete contract states KY law (corporate headquarters) as the governing law, and states a 2 year period. There are no trade secrets involved. Is this enforceable? would it go to Dutch courts, or Kentucky courts?
