I know you guy are ready to either be astonished or have a good laugh.
We have two employees, both were married to other people at one time.
The female's husband went overseas and she evidently started having a "friendship" with a married male employee. This was common knowledge all over our medical practice. The upshot is this employee ended up pregnant (allegedly by the "friend") and she tried to palm it off on the husband, but evidently he could count to at least nine and knew he was not the culprit.

Her spouse understandably upset, left her and she has been bemoaning her fate - no husband, her lover won't acknowledge the baby, etc. He has never acknowledged the affair, but she has spread it all over the practice.

They had a lovers spat in the parking lot the other day and a patient thought a doctor and his nurse were having a fight in the parking lot.

The male romeo is still married to his wife and get this!!! his wife is expecting a baby about the same time as the alleged lover! Maybe they will end up in the same hospital at the same time.

Well, I can't wait for the end of this story when the DNA comes out. I will keep you guys advised.

Doesn't this read like a trashy romance novel? Another case for non-fraternization policy?

It's amazing to me that they are still able to work together!! Do they work in the same department? Is either of them the other's superior in the practice?

Lois: We have three stories in our building. The female works on the 2nd floor and the male on the first floor (Quicker getaway). Thank God, this is not a supervisory type thing. I did counsel both of them yesterday and the female stated that she did shove the guy and she was yelling at him. He said there was no altercation and she did not hit him, but simply fell off the curb because she was ungainly (pregnant). Of course, he started sweating some big 'ole Bill Clinton bullets and had to wipe his face a couple of times.

I told them both if they valued their jobs, they would keep this relationship (whatever it is) out of the workplace and if I heard anything else like this going on in the parking lot, they would both be gone!

I guess now all you can do is sit back and enjoy the show, right!?!

Rockie! YOU HAVE WAAAAAY TOO MUCH INFORMATION. Don't conclude this "who dunnit" so quickly, though. Remember, every doctor there has immediate access to free Viagra samples and it could be the 70 year old bespectacled, quiet guy who always smiles politely and keeps to himself! x;-)

Not really "beyond belief." I work for a major university and we had had very similar situations, not once but a couple of times in the past few years. Will they ever learn?

It would be funny if not for the painful flashbacks. We had a married, female Nursing Supervisor who had on-going affairs with not one, but TWO married, male employees. This mess started to radiate like a pebble in a pond as the two guys bickered with each other at the work-site, AND the Nursing Supervisor started to receive threats from ANOTHER femal employee who was also seeing one of the male employees (where this guy got the energy to have a wife and two girlfriends I'll never know). My head hurts just remembering it. Endless meetings, because most of the people involved were Union. You might want to be proactive and counsel them both to leave their personal business outside of work.
