FLSA -- exemptions

Are there any states that don't require paying an exempt employee for 40 hours if they have worked any part of the week.
New Hampshire and Arizona are the states that I am particularly interested in.

They might be more generous but none negate the FLSA or take away from it. The FLSA doesn't require that you pay them "for 40 hours". It requires that you pay them the agreed upon salary for the workweek whether the hours are "few or many".
