EEO Stretch Goals

We are currently trying to establish stretch goals for the next 5 years for minority and female representation. We were curious what criteria other EEO professionals use to set achievable, but challenging, goals for improving minority/female representations. What is your process for setting EEO goals?

  • How did you determine that you needed to establish goals. If you use the Governments' 8 factor analysis, and use these within your recruiting area(s) for the classifications involved, you will know what, if any, goals need to be established. If you are seeking to simply meet the needs of the environment and improve diversity, I suggest you utilize a different strategy other than goal setting. I would simply change my recruiting techniques to ensure that I am recruiting in areas which will draw a diverse qualified, or qualifiable pool of candidates.
