How do I write an AAP

Please tell me where I might go to find out the kind of plan needed for a community college in Ohio. I have been told that since we received funding from the state we do not need to have a full blown plan but a executive statement of intent and an EEO 1 record. I know that we need to be careful because writing parts of a full plan mandates having the whole plan. I've look at other plans from other colleges but there is everything to full plans to a statement in strategic goals.

I passed on your question to Gary L. Greenberg, one of the editors of Ohio Employment Law Letter. He said you really need to contact legal counsel for specific advice like this because determining what is needed for a community college's affirmative action plan requires knowledge of all the relevant facts (e.g. funding sources) and legal research.

Thank you for the endorsement. I do have a consultant that does this on a regular basis for numerous clients in all different business segments. The regs have changed just recently, so the statistical analysis has changed as well. For that reason, many HR professionals are outsourcing this function because they don't have time to keep up with the regulation changes. I'll be glad to put you in touch with my consultant.
