We had non-exempt employees who were required to show up for a minimal amount of time on a Saturday to let service people in/out of the building. We plan on compensating them. Are we required to pay them a minimum of four hours for 'showing up'?

It depends on your state, but here in California you would have to pay them the 4 hours.
