Providing benefits to domestic partners

In which states is it required to extend benefits to domestic partners and does it apply to all benefits including tuition assistance, fitness memberships, etc.?

I'm not familiar with the state statutes, but specific city ordinances that I've dealt with on this require the domestic partner extension on all benefits that were available to spouses. If you are making tuition assistance available to spouses, then you may have to extend it to domestic partners as well.
