***Additional information relative to above inquiry. We are a government municipality, personnel records are open to access by the public. It is my policy to basically never give information about employees over the telephone with the exception of confirmation of employment, or past employment and date of hire. Viewing records is only made available by requesting, by signed form and notification of the employee.

I think additional information is needed, such as: who's asking for this info?; what might be their purpose---employment related?; you apparently do not have written authorization from the employee to release the info?; is the inquiry via telephone or written request for that info???
