Is it necessary to have an I-9 on all employees, including those who began working for the company before 1986? Our company has several employees who have been with us for over 20 years, and I would like to know if I need an I-9 for them also. At this point we only have I-9's for those hired after November 7, 1986.

No need to worry about those hired on or b/4 11/6/96, unless of course, they terminate and are re-hired in the future.
