voluntary quit & workers comp

We recently had an employee quit for another position. She left and subsequently failed the physical for the new job due to a workers comp injury she sustained while working for us. She was on light duty when she quit.
She's now filing for comp because she was physically unable to perform the new job. HAs anyone seen this? Will she be able to collect disability payments until she finds a job she can handle or is released, which doesn't seem very likely. We won't bring her back, she was very accident prone.
PS I received her award letter today from Unemployment Office that she is eligible for UC benefits despite the voluntary quit. DOn't you love it?
