Inviting temp employees to holiday party

Our company is hosting an off-site holiday party for employees. Some managers would like to invite the temporary employees. They are independant contractors. Does anyone see a risk?

That depends. If up until now you've treated these folks like regular employees in other ways, you may want to reconsider.

You may also need to consider the exposure to your company should alcohol be served. There is potential exposure to your company if the temp leaves your party under the influence and causes injury to a non-employee.
