Firing an employee who requested disability
We have a contract with an easy out clause with this full-time emplyee. We envoked the 60 day notice for contract termination. As soon as we did this the employee stopped showing up saying she had had an accident at home causing a broken coxyx bone and it made working painful. She told us she would be back on Saturday and then called on Friday to say she was not coming in and was on part time disability from her other full-time job and asking us to send her the paperwork for disability from our insurance company. My boss told me to fire this employee. Can we do this?
