another tuition reimbursement question

Does your policy provide reimbursement for the portion of a doctoral program that continues after coursework is completed? This is usually time spent writing and defending the dissertation. If it does not, or if you would not, can you offer a rationale? Thanks.

Given that the employee pays tuition for a doctoral program it should be included in an employer's tuition reimbursement program.
