Nope, not a competitor! When I came to work here I was surprised at how big the company was. Thirty four Abby's stores, 2 Golden Corrals in Idaho and 2 in Arizona, and 5 Sonics, and growing! I'm very busy! Frank, thanks for the tip about the han…

Well, if you guys were here I would have bought you pizza. Abby's is the best!
If I understand the scenario as you have described it, your organization isnt in any kind of trouble as far as the breaks are concerned. QUOTE] One of the managers that I talked to yesterday said that they do thi…

Thanks David. The "undue hardship" cannot be argued as an every day occurrence. My concern is that a disgruntled employee can have a case against us. I will talk with the CEO and have this changed. Bethk

Happy Birthday Joannie! Have a good one!

Thanks for the laugh this morning. How many times have you actually wanted to say something like that? I have a few times. I guess that's why it made me laugh so hard.
-
Oh my gosh!! Bravo!!! What a wonderful sense of humor. I really needed that this morning!
-
I hope you keep your blinds closed at home! :-O
-
Omigosh!! Would you be referring to yourself when you say "some guys"?
-
Amen to that! Time is running out..........

LOL!! Typical!
-
Oh gross!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh! I remember that. I'm aging myself now. But to not watch the Huxtables? Funny. Seems pretty tame and generic compared to what's on TV now.

It is kind of creepy, isn't it.:D
-
Now that's just wrong!

I thought it was a given that you eliminated the sexual abuse policy since you wear no pants.

At our company, and it is in our handbook, if your leave is exhausted, your employment will end. I tell the managers that if there is a position available they can bring the employee back when he/she is better, with a doctor's release. I agree wi…

This has been a very hectic, trying Monday! Thanks for the laugh!

I also agree with Nae. If this is ongoing, the other person in the dept. should have back up help. I also don't believe she has the say whether or not the time off can be charged to fml. We always charge fml if an employee is off for a qualifying…

Now THAT'S funny!!

Thankfully those employees didn't elect COBRA. As far as unemployment, I fight it as high as I can also. Gets my blood boiling. We had one case recently were the manager was rubbing up against the girls as they leaned out the drive through window…

No...no...no.....we're not LIKE them, we THINK the way we do BECAUSE of people like them. Now take it back Paul  And...what do you mean you are energized by this? Hmmm......should we add you to the list of prurient characters? ::pb&am…

I'll be in good company. Thanks Frank!

Joannie, whose definition? I couldn't find a definition of gross misconduct anywhere. We had a couple employees who were termed for sexual misconduct and theft. To me, that is gross misconduct but we were told ALL involuntary terms should be cons…

For what it's worth Nae, I thought the exact same thing. So....great minds think alike, right?
-
Exactly!!! What she said...........

Are you in a state that has a leave law? In Oregon the requirement to qualify is 6 mos of employment with an average of 25 hours a week.
-
Point well taken. And in reality, it is no picnic to have that disorder. I know of someone who suffered with this tremendously.
-
Too funny! Maybe the person who set this rule is "one of those". ::pb&J::

I know, I thought so too. I don't deal with the operational aspect of the stores so I don't know if that is what our company requires or if it is part of the safe food handler thing.
