Don't Nae. Trust me.

There was a former poster on this forum that would have enjoyed this thread. Perhaps Nae is nostalgic for the good old days. Just sayin'.

Sunny BUT cold here.

You really want advice from us?

I think the constant flow of trivial information, updates, responses, etc make FB extremely distracting and non-productive. At least that is what my own field research has shown.

I suppose if you want to be fair you could draft a policy that awards additional time off based on some calculation. Ex. 1 extra day off for every 10 days on the road. The inside sales people aren't gone enough to qualify and the outside sales…

Sounds like they were just trying to be funny and/or edgy. However, they sound a little desperate. PLEASE BE OUR FRIEND!! Probably one of those "Morning Zoo" shows where the humor is forced and if you listen closely you can almost hear the despair…

I hope the other employees of this fine company learn the valuable lesson of not giving the courtesy of two weeks notice.

I got a headache after question #2 and quit the test.

Dutch, is OK to call someone a "Wal-martian" or is that like certain racial terms which can only be used by someone of that ethnicity?
-
Truthfully, I haven't read the details of this specific case but hasn't it always been a general rule that its not wise to discharge an employee who has just filed a WC claim, requested FMLA, claimed harassment, etc? Not that thought hasn't crosse…

Dutch, those blue vests are flattering, aren't they?

The question I asked the fellow leading the webinar was "Doesn't every employee ALWAYS have an excuse for their behavior?" Especially employees who know they are on thin ice. There is ALWAYS a good reason why they can't be on time.... I person…

Coffee, how many times have I told you that you cannot use my snarky comments for your company policies?

I met my wife at work. On our current staff, we have at least 11 people who met their spouses here. Possibly more but I was being conservative in my estimate. Over the years, hundreds of happy couples met here. I think you would have better su…

"My facebook ordeal". I love it. Frank, let me know how Foursquare goes. I think its... wait for it... for squares.

I am glad someone is benefitting from my struggles with Facebook.

I like how casually Joannie mentions "dirty Santa" without going into detail.

Its possible but its a violation of FB's rules: [I]You may create a business account if you don't already have a standard Facebook account. Please be aware that managing multiple accounts is a serious violation of Facebook’s Terms of Use. I…

Our Christmas party is usually a dinner and then a white elephant gift exchange. The dinner is either catered (if we have money) or potluck (when we have no money). This year we had the staff bring dessert and we provided a simple soup and bread …

I love eggnog lattes. If visiting family is the price I have to pay to acquire them, so be it.

Having two Facebook accounts is a SERIOUS violation of Facebook's rules according to their website. You can create a "business" account which has limited functionality but you can't have a personal account as well. FB is difficult to deal with. …

I think one time I noticed an EE had posted something on FB when they were on the clock. I contacted the supervisor and they got written up for it. A minor infraction. Contrary to what some people might think, I dont stalk our employees online.

Hey now, these are pretty racy. Someone alert a monitor! Oh wait... I've heard of reintarnation before. That's a good one. I like "beelzebug".

How about Elf?

Ahem.. where is Jesus?

CNGHR, you win the uncomfortable, ambivalent feeling that comes with knowing you understand how Frank's mind works.
-
Thanks Sharon. Rest assured, no plan to cut dependents.

1. Does anyone speak Frank and can translate? 2. Coffee, I am not sure. This kind of policy is news to me. I dont think we are seriously considering it. But I was curious if anyone had a similar policy?

Betty, how do you budget for UE expenses? Do you keep a reserve amount set aside?
