Well, its probably no suprise to you that I use Twitter, Facebook, and Linked In. Facebook - FB is an incredibly effective tool for me. I use it to e-mail my staff, chat in real time with staff or catch up with former staff, post photos and vide…

So, you shut down these form processors from listening to books on tape? Or listening to anything?
-
Too many waterfalls and bubbling brooks and I would be headed to the bathroom every twenty minutes. Is that too much information?
-
Nope, Nope, and DEFINITELY NOPE. My job keeps me young so I guess I have that going for me.

Thanks! Turning 40 is kind of like having someone you dont really want to talk to you catch up to you and corner you for a long, drawn out, unwanted chat. You just have to resign yourself to the fact that you can't escape aging forever.
-
I dont think you can out-wierd Frank's zombie books. That sounds like a good book. I admire you for reading something that is spiritually edifying. Meanwhile, i am learning to become a ruthless Titan of Capitalism!

sigh... fine. I'll play air bass guitar. Its more subtle.

Wait, Nae, are you comparing "Alien" to being pregnant? I finished "Relentless" by Dean Koontz. Not a bad page turner but the ending was implausible and left me feeling a bit cheated. Now I am on to "Meet You In Hell" the story of the bitter pa…

What did you MEAN by THAT comment? As soon as you explain I plan to be deeply offended!

Poor Nae! I can't imagine interviewing all those people. We strive (and I say strive) to contact all applicants with a postcard letting them know their application was recieved. Then we strive to contact them all again once some kind of decisi…

I used to work in retail and there were two store security personnel who were insured by the company to stop shoplifters. No one else was allowed to do anything beyond notify security. The reason was that there are people who will intentionally "a…

Oh wow, you are right! I didnt think about that. Is there any special privileges to being in a protected class that I can enjoy now? Is there an orientation I need to attend. Thats so fantastic! I am ready to be victimized!
-
NeedCoffee, do you allow the occassional cubicle air guitar solo?
-
That was actually the strangest part of turning 40, Dutch. The realization that 50 is just 10 short years away. Otherwise I feel great. I stay active. I can still run a comb through my hair. If age brings wisdom, I say bring it on!

Our housekeeping staff listen to their ipods and we haven't dictated to them what they can listen to. I would be very pleased if they were listen to books on tape but my guess is most of them just listen to music. Our only warning to them is "dont…

Im on vacation at the moment but I'll definitely have some wacky complaints for you Nae when I get back. Our unique environment here is conducive for wackiness.

The biggest difficulty for me is the running part. Even the walking part is an issue. Plus the signing up part. Now if I could ride my longboard...

To clarify, is the board member suggesting that volunteers be paid because that would be a nice thing and attract more volunteers or is he implying that the maternity home is incorrectly treating these workers as volunteers and should begin paying t…

What are those like? I have read alot of Dean Koontz novels and a few murder/mystery novels.

The "Lost City of Z" has been a good read. Full of intrigue, insect bites, cannibals, and stout British imperialists. One wonders why anyone would want to endure a trek through the Amazon but it seems to be a hellish experience that somehow makes a…

Probably the biggest running event here is the "Hood To Coast" which takes you from Mount Hood through Portland to Seaside. Teams will take turn running the legs all day and night until they reach the beach. Once they get to the beach its a big pa…

Good Morning America featured Cannon Beach and did a nice little story about the natural beauty of the area. http://abcnews.go.com/video/playerIndex?id=8287012

That's an interesting book to read right before you go to sleep, Frank.

We are extremely concerned and participate in our county's regular stakeholder's meetings and updates. We have large populations of individuals here both on an ongoing basis and short term. The potential for illness is high due to the amount of p…

Past zombie attacks?

For night time reading, I prefer page turners over anything serious or intellectual. I prefer the same for daytime reading as well.
-
What is "Harmonic Wealth" about? I am not familiar with either?
-
I would agree that anything by Jane Austen would be better with zombies.
-
I just realized I past 4,000 posts but I dont remember when it happened. I hope it was special.

Hitting the wineries? Is that because mother wants to go or because mother is going with you?
