And nobody had the presence of mind to PRINT Don's post????? I'm sorely disappointed in you people! x;-)
-
I didn't get to see the post either. I feel cheated, somehow, although it appears I didn't really miss anything. But yesterday's group hug was fantastic. Felt the urge to light up a cigarette afterwards, though. x;-)
-
Don't forget, guys. Tomorrow we really have to talk up the group hug thing so the others know what they missed. xhugs
-
No.
-
No one really took him seriously, Mwild - we all knew it was a put-on. He just defended himself to move gracefully and seamlessly from his "tiger-tale-pulling" mode to his "martyr" mode and generate sympathy. x;-) Okay, everybody! Group hug! x:-)

Isn't that a visual you just want to wash your brain out with soap over?
-
Hmmmm... I'm beginning to worry about you a little, rad. First, in a different post, you were struggling with pedestrian rage (PR) when the cabbie went after you, and now you're dealing with inappropriate adjective rage (IAR). Anything we can do? …

I, too, am in the habit of calling some of our general managers "kiddo" and fortunately they're not offended (both male and female, by the way). However, our Dir. Ops has a really bad habit when we conduct training sessions together. The audience …

At least someone around here knows just how to phrase something right and not upset us women! > >Cyndy Cyndy, a man can get into trouble saying "good morning" around most women if the tone isn't just right! x;-)

There's a reason a career in HR is often equated to a career in childcare. x;-)

Glad there's someone out here close to my age -- at the low end of the spectrum you have the twentysomethings and thirtysomethings, and at the other end of the spectrum you have... well, Don D. x;-)
-
Is it my imagination or are all the women on the forum 34???? That seems to be a recurring theme around here. x:-/
-
I promise to be stunned, HRQ. We hotel types (and former hotel types) have to stick together. x;-)
-
Either I'm detecting a heavy note of sarcasm in your post, Mwild, or you've been smoking your lunch again. Which is it? x;-)
-
Rad, I don't know about the other guys on the forum, but I can tell you this for certain: Regardless of the gray (or silver - thank you Yahoo) in my hair, I will NEVER, EVER, EVER be wise to the ways of women! Trying to figure out women is like tr…

One of my favorite military ones is: "His men would follow him anywhere - if only out of morbid curiosity."

You, too? Must be something in the water. x;-)

Ah, but Mwild, you forget (or maybe you never knew to begin with) - I'm responsible for three hotels in Washington - two in the Seattle area and one in Bellingham - so I am VERY familiar with the pretzel logic employed in the WA comp system. x;-)
-
Mwild, Safety Witch (if that is indeed your REAL name) - You guys aren't, uh, a little too impassioned over this thing, are you?
-
Don't mince words, Mwild, tell us how you REALLY feel. x:-)
-
I suspect Mwild's popping the cork on a bottle of champagne right about now x;-)

Isn't Keesler AFB the pits, Mwild?

My niece, who went to UC Berkeley, refers to the town as "The People's Republic of Berkeley." And she's one of the most liberal people I know.

Most of the countries with 35-hour weeks, 6 weeks vacation per year, etc. are also among the least productive in the Western world. I don't think the solution is adopting more time off from work and eating smaller portions. Just start eating small…

Actually, it's "Da, tovarich." Tovarich is the Russian word for "comrade." Learn something new every day, huh? Not only are these posts fun, they're educational. x:-)
-
Priceless!!! I love it!!! Better stop speaking English and break out my Russian grammar books, I guess. x;-)
-
Yes, but Mjindra is probably landing in your neck of the woods as we speak and is on her way to you to teach you a lesson, Ray. x;-)
-
Cool your jets, Mjindra. I can see white smoke pouring from your ears. x;-)

You guys ought to be glad there's no way the women on the forum can get to you. If they could, you'd be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail.
