You made me feel all patriotic and want to use it too. **==

Welcome! Your story sounds familiar. It is amazing how many HR people got into HR by accident. I am my company's accountant, but when we downsized in 2000-2001, we no longer had enough people to justify having an HR department. Thus, HR (and pa…

[QUOTE=ritaanz;715336]This morning's paper told the story of a gun dealer in Phoenix who was arrested for selling high powered guns to strawbuyers, who, in turn, sold them to the drug cartels, The judge threw the case out saying the procecution did …

I guess I haven't been to the main page for awhile. I put 'new posts' in my favorite places, and come directly there every day. I seldom leave the area. Maybe I should be more adventuresome. I might find life here more exciting. Ok. That wasn…

Where are you seeing these names?

The Twitter link was cute. I can't imagine what would be fun about having people telling me all day every little thing they were doing. How would I get anything done myself? Joannie: It didn't really require a vote to put you in charge of handli…

Like your new picture KSR. Please tell us about him/her.

How can she be a moderator? She isn't on the Members List that actually only lists MLS people. Or is it possible that even some MLS people can't get on the list?

I don't mind the advertising; it helps keep our costs down. Unless, of course, it is flashing or moving. Then it seriously annoys me as it distracts from the reason I am here in the first place...to read the thread.

I have heard a lot on Waco, TX and Tijuana, and I also heard the state department warned against Americans traveling to Mexico over the spring break. But if our cities are under assault too it is getting really scary out there. Why don't we check v…

After all, Joannie, you are such a natural at it!

\:D/ ....and some of them are great! Way to go MLS IT people!

Definitely miss Q and Steaks. I know Steaks is very, very busy right now. I don't know what is up with Q, but she did such a good job of keeping PICB in line. Now Joannie is forced to handle it all alone...with occasional help from Rita.

I agree. Ray should come back. We miss him.

I don't know why she might need it locked up either. A prior employer told her to keep it that way, but that may have been due to fear of theft. Apparently they had such problems there. I told her it was her choice to lock it up or leave it out.

Applause smiley face.

The employee did fine. We did have her by a window one day, but most of the time she was ok. I really feel for her. She has all these issues, and was working so hard NOT to be a pain to us. She later admitted that she had spoken up once about he…

We definitely need an applause icon.

Paul, Your constant interactions with young adults is showing. I like it.

Ah Joannie! You made me homesick for a few seconds.

I DO NOT like being kicked off because I leave my desk for a few minutes. Or rather, I wouldn't mind getting kicked off if signing back only took one button or click. Grrrrr

My short cut stopped working today and I was forced to sign on. Oh well. We knew it was only a matter of time. I am just hoping that I can keep signed on as long as I don't leave the area. BTW, kudos to the programmers who gave us the ability to…

I am feeling very senior today. Yesterday I opened my desk file drawer and then forgot it was there. My boots protected my shin somewhat when I went flying over it, but my knees, hands, and shoulder got the floor full throttle. I limped around t…

er...log or logo? Both seem fitting.

Wow! I was able to use the secret doorway and get on easily this morning. I don't know how long I can stay, but yesterday I actually took myself off instead of being booted off. That was definitely a first for me!

I have tried setting myself up the way Paul suggested, and an seriously hoping it works for me. I have not only been having trouble staying on, but most of the time I have not been able to even sign on. Our heros at the site have been working on s…

First: I question if your assistant did the right thing. You had an original form, then you had a replacement form. If the husband wanted to shred the replacement form, he needed to say it in writing. Did he? It seems to me if he didn't want the…

This is a tad confusing. Not all the replies show up on my screen. I have to scroll my Explorer screen, and then scroll the responses. I also clicked on one of the replies, only to see reply to it that I couldn't see from the main screen. I am s…

I noticed something was missing too. Must have been something misunderstood. You know that none of us ever cross the line into offensive material land. :oo

Be very vague regarding who and when. Just tell a story giving us as many details as you feel comfortable with. If we need to ask questions, we might even be able to do that in a private email. Nae
