  • In Hunterdon County NJ a 3BR/2ba house would go for about $385K to $400K (or more if you wanted property with it). If you could find one. These days it's all 4-6 BR "McMansions" being built, starting much much higher.

  • oh gee.. this brought back memories of the mid 80's when I was commissioned to provide training to our corp execs on how to use the NEWLY installed voice mail system. After 2 hours (yes, that's 2 hours) of training them simply how to leave a message…
  • The Outerbanks of North Carolina: Hatteras Island. Beautiful beach, not overly developed, great climate, Southern BarBQ and Crabs! It dont get better than that.
  • hey RADS, we are thinking of going to Turks and Caicos for a vacation this summer. Where do you like to stay there? thanks! ~Leslie

  • This morning one of the talk radio shows said they heard that Rupert had 8 million votes out of a total of 36 million votes that had been counted. Lookin' good for Rupert. Going to major channel switching between 8:54 and 9 pm in my house tonight.
  • NO KIDDING? amazing, cant believe it, that WILL be something to see. She sure has cashed in on her 2 stints on survivor.
  • I liked Tom more before last night. I totally didnt get him inviting Rob and really believing that Rob would bring him farther than he'll bring Amber... plus.. he was so nasty about Rupert loving his wife.. and.. I really didnt like his comment abou…
  • I was reaching for the Kleenex too. Gee, watching Rupert I was totally teary-eyed. CANT believe everyone of those fools voted to keep Rob and Amber... If Rupert, Tom and Jenna dont split off NOW,they are doomed..
  • i was also trying to understand her comment about secrets in the tribe. was she maybe trying to get them to think she wasnt the only one to vote for Rupert? thanks for starting the new thread mcmel, we needed it !!

  • And let me point out that the celebrations in CT included starting fires and over-turning cars and several arrests. You wouldnt see that at an ACC school.
  • It's the Outer Banks for us, too! Last week in August (weather is risky, but since it isnt high season we get ALOT more house for our buck!). Cant wait: sun, sand, and surf. I've been dreamin' about it since we made the reservations way back in Janu…
  • Yes, that is definitely my all time favorite coach's moment.. I still get tears in my eyes when they show that. Bama and 'Cuse can fight it out, but neither will get passed Duke in the final 4.
  • SDDCHR: same for me, that Laetner shot is my all time favorite. I have my Duke basketball earrings on today, thank goodness for casual Fridays !
  • I LOVED the smell of mimeographed papers. Do you remember the teacher having us wave them in the air to get the ink dry before we started writing on them (otherwise, they'd get all smudged)? And hand cranking the machine to make the copies? Now you …
  • yes, which is why faxes could not be used as legal documents. A signed fax was no good, you still had to send the original.
  • "Beechwood 7-5309" some guy just tried to "sell" that phone number on the internet. They did a report on the news explaining to people that no one can sell a phone number, it was a scam... my kids will grow up not knowing what life was like before …
  • >Nope, I was born in 77. oh my... I graduated in '77. I've been working as long as you've been alive.. scarey...
  • I agree with Sonny. In fact, in my previous life as an Academic Advisor at a College we would receive this every fall, as a way to help us understand and better relate to our incoming students. There was nothing judgemental or insulting about it all…
  • hi HS, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Alexander Hamilton was not from NJ. He was born in the West Indies, and was brought to NYC to be educated as a young man. As an adult, he eventually settled in what is now "Harlem" which was the countrys…

  • From my wedding: I choose NOT to have my wedding videotaped as I had attended a few weddings where this was very intrusive. A friend of my mother's got wind of this fact and decided that his "gift" to us would be to videotape the event (ugghh.. the …
  • Notice we still havent gotten an explanation regarding the "you're from NJ.. God bless you" comment ???? (sorry to pop in late, I was called in from another thread to jump to aid of fellow NJers) now back I go to the Survivor All Star thread.....
  • hi Moneyman, did you go on the cbs website to vote for Savage as best looking guy?
  • WHen she started to talk, the audience boooed her. As Hatch pointed out, to have a room of 5000 people booing you doesnt feel too great.
  • Yes, that is Colby, the cutie that he is. But why doesnt Savage have a commercial? After you vote on cbs.com you can then vote for other categories such as best fight, hottest guy and babe, etc... kinda like your high school year book !!
  • yes, and I think if Rupert has the chance he will bring Jenna to the final 2. Firstly because he is a man of his word, and secondly because he has a great chance of winning jury votes over her, no one likes her.
  • Jenna's a good bet, so is Rupert. If Rob doesnt win immunity and they keep him I'll spit.
