Ray - you haven't heard my friend try to play one. It sounds like a whale dying. #-o Don - rifles or pistols? I can handle both but am not a very good shot. I can always practice on the leftover fruit and vegatables.

Thanks everyone. I too believe that God works in mysterious ways. I've lived out-of-state for almost 10 years and then out of the blue, my husband lands a job back home - just in time. I couldn't imagine being 4 or 5+ hours away right now. As …

I know in my head that's what I should do the only thing is if they downsize me, I would be entitled to extended benefits and severance plus my accrued vacation and once that's exhausted, unemployment. If I quit - I get nada except for my vacation.…

The problem was that the employee injuried himself doing it and is now out on WC which is why the issue came up in the first place. If it should be part of his normal duties - fine, so be it. But if not, then he shouldn't have attempted it and inj…

Thanks Don. Yes, he was trying to physically move the drum back onto the pallet. While HR/Safety states that this individual should not be performing the job of moving drums, the Manager states that QA inspectors are expected to. So the questio…

Hi - I should have been a little clearer...sorry... The person was actually trying to physically move the drum without a drum handler (not a forklift). We have certified forklift drivers but the drum was alledgely hanging off the edge of the palle…

Does the employee qualify for FMLA? If so, it can run concurrently with WC. When they run out of FMLA they can be terminated provided there isn't an ADA issue. Start clocking the time right now if you haven't already. However, you can't retro ba…

I work in manufacturing and have combined both the performance evaluation form and the job description form. This way, each employee is "graded" on the jobs that he or she performs. Goals have been set up based on position structure. For example:…
