• A novel concept. You pay people a fair wage to work where you are? Everyone here just wants to get out of the house for a bit. That has to be it; because it sure isn't the salary
• The cosmetologist wins in my book - she caused irreparable harm to her clients, err, victims!

• Your company is considering these options? Since you provide housing for your employees they may not be as adverse to a reduction in pay. You mentioned a10% pay cut in your initial post, is this correct? How many employees would constitute 5% of yo…
• As stated by a previous poster, be sure executives are also affected by pay reductions. Our top three executives have not had a pay increase since early 2007. I would hate to be among the HR personnel at these companies. [FONT=Taho…

• Very well put! =D>
• Regardless of what is done, the manner in which it is done will affect the remaining employees. On Black Friday (as employees are now referring to the day of the layoffs at FedEx) an outside company came in and over the course of several hours calle…
• Yes, that is what I do for my parents every year! Shame on me...especially since I send in money with the extension then I get that money back when I finally file. But Jo, you wouldn't do that would you?

• May I be the first to choose the 11th? We may have to break it down into hours...

• Recently FedEx implemented both. Morale was damaged almost beyond repair by the layoffs - mainly by the way they were handled. The pay cut was met with relief since people still had their positions.
•
Tax news was not bad... had to pay the State a little (under $50) but getting enough back from the Fed to pay for the State and CPA charges. We got in the habit of using a CPA firm for taxes when we ran a beef cattle operation a…

• Hmmm, so I should check back with you on say, May 8th, to see how you will be spending your weekend? Since the economy could be called a 'disaster area' why didn't they give everyone a pardon on taxes this year? That is a plan I could get behind …

• I switched the balance of my 401k to the preservation funds back in '07 so I haven't taken too hard a hit. Allocations for future contributions I kept where they were so I am still 'buying at a bargain'. It was not pleasant when I passed out the sta…

• Congrats on your refund!! No state income tax in Tennessee or Florida (my state of residency). Since I have never had to do a state return I don't understand how you can get money back on one and owe on another. Shouldn't they be about the same 'rat…

• I saw losses on statements from the last quarter that were worse than those in previous quarters. I hope you are right and things are starting to look up now, but with the DJIA down 135 I have to wonder. At least the DJIA is higher than it has been.…

• Call me Ishmael. Yesterday even a refresh wouldn't work. Could have been issues due to the virus attack on Twitter... I finally got the 'follow' to work on John Phillips.
• Thanks for the information Tony. I saw where Hero is now following John Phillips but when I tried to follow him Twitter froze up, yet again - I have seen the whale way too often lately. Twitter is over capacity. [/SIZ…
