I think it could also mean that by being with you, or because of you, someone didn't get into an accident etc. My kids believe that my daily prayers helped to keep them both from heaps of trouble as they grew. Cheryl C.

I agree with dchr. Though I wouldn't have worn them or allowed my daughters to wear them to the White House, at least the piercings and tatoos (and I'm sure many of the team players have them) appear to have been covered.
