I am in total agreement with HR in NR. If you consider the judicial aspect the "he" said "she" said bears no weight in either direction. Basically, why would you say one is telling the truth and the other is not? Each case stands alone and if you ca…

I know what you mean but I have seen an employer deliberately have an employees emails destroyed because of the way the termination was handled. I don't think that that is the majority but I do know of one such business. It is difficult to travel i…

So I would have to verify all SS#'s for that company and in that process if it is discovered that the SS is inaccurate, I can then terminate?? Boy, what an elaborate process. Thanks everyone, this is very helpful. This company has produced more dema…

In reviewing files for another issue, we came across and employee that presented for I9 purposes a Dept. of Treasury/IRS individual Taxpayer Id #. The documents were accepted at point of hire in 03. In the file there are two notices from the DWD (Wi…

Agreed you pay it. Alot of er's don't pay it and that is a time bomb. One thing to note at least this is what I have been made aware of is for you to make sure that the wording of sick leave or vacation or any PTO practices does not use "earned" but…

Thank you and yes, we are working on training because of the significant oversight that is going on in the facilities. The person did not ask for FMLA but we recently had an issue where an employee put in a complaint because we did not inform him o…
