Executive Severance Packages

Does anyone know what the average severance plan is for executives? I've been asked by Administation to look into this matter and they are asking if 6 months compensation or 12 months is the norm.

In our company it depends on which "Executive". Higher ranks get 12 months lower between 6 and 9 months.

Thanks! The two positions I am specifically referring to here is the CEO and CFO. I assume in your company this would be the 12 months, right?

12 months at that level along with 4 months of outplacement services.
