Since the America's Job Bank job openings site was shut down on July1, I have been looking for good alternatives. In the meanwhile, DOL has provided federal government contractors with an interim site for job some posting (http://careeronestop.org/ajbprsjbl/ ). Was wondering what other contractors are doing for job posting -- especially for tech/engineering positions.

Monster has a new Diversity Candidate Status feature where applicants can signify with a check of a box if they want to be regarded as a diverse candidate. Go to http://diversity.monster.com. Hope they have some tech/engineering applicants for you.

I work for a small, but growing commercial contractor which, from time-to-time performs state & local goverrnment jobs. I have found some success posting to our state job board (i.e. OneStop, etc.) and it's FREE! Also you could try posting on local college & vocational school websites as well as trade associations, suppliers, etc sites. They are usually at no cost too. Although Monster has more than a plethora of resumes & postings, their placement rate is not comparable to other venues and is expensive. Good luck in your endeavors!

I always used AJB, since the closing I use www.americasjobexchange.com

Basically, the same site with a new name.
