Supervisor Training

I am looking for a Supervisory Training program for Healthcare that is fairly prepackaged. Ideally I would like to have fairly short modules that are flexible. It could include some videos or online pieces but I want a totally online program or self-study program.

There are a few that I can think of, some offered by ASHHRA, depending on exactly what type of training topics you need, go to http://www.ashhra.org/ashhra/about/index.html. BLR also has some prepackaged training materials for healthcare, mostly related to safety topics, go to http://www.blr.com/product.cfm/product/10013700/funcode/WI02 or http://www.blr.com/product.cfm/product/11000900/funcode/WI04 . Also, take a look on OSHA.gov , put the term "helathcare supervisors training into the search box, and see what turns up . . . might be a good place to start for the free stuff. Good luck!

The Amarican Management Association (AMA.COM) has several programs of self study that may fit your needs. For best results on any of these (because they are self-study), someone from your organization (preferably from your HR or Training Department) should function as a leader or facilitator to ensure participant pprogress. Review Questions and a "final exam" are provided. If necessary, an outside advisor or trainer can work with the materials and "push" your people through the program. Costs are reasonable.
