I'm taking an informal poll since I can't figure out how to create one on the forum
How does your organization handle maternity leave?
a. We provide paid maternity leave
b. Maternity leave is unpaid
c. We offer partial pay during maternity leave
d. We pay for short term disability for our employees
e. Other (please describe!)
Also, does anyone have any stats on the percentage of businesses that offer paid maternity leave?

When you are creating a post, under the box where you write your text, there are several smaller boxes under "Additional Options." The next to last one is "Post a poll."
After you have written the main part of your post, you scroll down and click the box next to "Yes, post a poll in this thread." Then, under that line is a box where you fill in how many poll options you'll need.
Then, you scroll down a little and click the "Submit New Thread" box -- before you've actually made your poll -- so it's counterintuitive (at least for me). From there, you will be taken to a screen where you can fill in your poll options.
I'm going to post this in the help section, too, for prosperity.
Back to your regularly scheduled program . . .

In my Additional Options area, I only have the following:
Show Your Signature
Automatically parse links in text
Disable emoticons in text
Attach files
Thread subscription notification type
Perhaps mine is set up differently????
I'll check with our IT dept and see what the difference is.
Your first post! Welcome to the Forum. :welcome:

Just heard back from IT. Permissions have been adjusted so that everyone can start a poll now.
