I am looking into Performance Appraisal software. I've already searched the forum and didn't find much.
If you use such software, what do you use, and how has it worked for you?

Unfortunately, my predecessor left without authorizing payment for renewal and they shut us off without warning about a month into my tenure. It should have been a simple phone call, apology, and wire transfer away from being turned back on, but a combination of hot tempers here and a bad CSR there put us on the path to a new system.
Their system itself was good, though, and I know a lot of people who are very happy with it.
Started with Applications and job descriptions organized the work so well that we eliminated a job. Our performance reviews are tied to our job descriptions and our authorized positions.:ball and chain::ball and chain:

You rate the performance on a high/low 5 point scale and the software generates clear and effective supporting text. It automatically calculates the total rating, gives you a check list of appropriate suggestions for improvement, and also includes an "advice" feature that alerts you when you should provide concrete examples to back up a high or low score.
