It wasn't cayenne that made it spicy, it's chili powder.
3lb chicken parts (I use boneless breasts and adjust the cooking time)
1 large onion, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons vinegar
3 tablespoons worcestershire
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon hot pepper flakes
1 tablespoon chili powder
1c chicken broth
Remove skin and fat from chicken. Place chicken in 13x9 baking dish. Arrange onions on top of chicken. Mix all other ingredients and pour over the chicken. Bake 350 for 1 hour or until done, basting occasionally.

You can definitely delete the pepper flakes.
(Sorry it took so long for my reply, I haven't had time to get on the forum like I used to!)
