I made this recipe for our company luncheon yesterday. It was a big hit.
For 10 servings:
1/4 c plus 1 tbsp sesame seeds
1-1/2 tbsp poppy seeds
1-1/4 c white sugar
1-1/4 c olive oil
1/2 c plus 2 tbsp distilled white vinegar
1/2 tsp paprika
3/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2-1/2 tbsp minced onion
1-1/2 pounds fresh baby spinach leaves
10 cups fresh strawberries - cleaned, hulled and sliced into wedges
1/2 c plus 2 tbsp almonds, blanched and slivered
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Cover and chill for one hour.
2. In a large bowl, combine the spinach, strawberries and almonds. Pour dressing over salad and toss. Refrigerate 10-15 minutes before serving.
Enjoy!
