It is pouring and I am sick and tired of it! We have had flooding this year in and around our state. We need some time to dry out.

That's wierd Nae. Its not raining at all here. Sunny and warm except for the slightest hint of a coastal breeze to the west...

Don't look at the forecast. They are calling for rain through Saturday. I understand your frustration. Sure is hard to haul rock, sand and gravel when it keeps on raining. Everybody here is grumpy.

By then we will need a guide and a hunting rifle to find our way to our front door. That is, if we still have one. I assume we will since we are on a hill but you never know. If they have to evacuate parts of Topeka again who knows what will happen next!

That's different! You CHOSE to live in the land of Seldom Sunshine. I'm also willing to bet the terrain and man-made infrastructure is built for all the rain water to wash away. Our part of the country is only built for a few days (maybe even 7-10) of rain per month. Daily rain or 6-7 inches in a few hours is more than we can handle. Just ask anyone with indoor running water...and I don't mean from the faucets.

Careful what you wish for - Last May in Oklahoma 1 inch rain. Last 6 days in Oklahoma 11 inches rain. This morning in the eastern sky there was a large bright orb. I'm not sure what it was, I only saw it for a moment before it was obscured by clouds. If anyone else saw this and knows what it is, please let me know.

Well, I asked for it and we got it! 3 inches of rain this weekend! Many thanks to tropical storm Barry. Now, we just have to watch out for the mosquitoes. x:-(
