  If Valentine's Day was created by greetings card companies and Christmas was devised by the retail industry, then St. Patrick's Day must be the invention of discrimination attorneys.
  
  Consider the rampant stereotyping of those who have or are percieved to have Irish ancestry. Not to mention the hostile environments created by the "must wear green" mentality and enforced by legions of pinch-happy lotharios. Not to mention the unstated but intense pressure to consume green alcoholic beverages in large quantities. Consider the nearly disabling terror that strikes the heart of anyone who realizes that they do not own any green clothes? Do you allow green shamrock lapels as an accommodation?
  
  I am suprised that the ACLU hasn't noticed that its called SAINT Patrick's Day. Saint? Sounds like an endorsement of church and state to me.
  
  The whole day's a nightmare. That said, I am wearing my one green shirt.

  My maiden name is Scottish, and for years, my family would wear orange ("William of Orange") instead of green. But I'm wearing green today!
